Thai Papaya Salad - Som Tum

The meal is quite simple to make. The main ingredients are shredded green papaya, chopped green beans, tomoato, dried prawns, unsalted roasted peanuts, chillies, garlic and lime juice. These are all pounded together in a mortar using a pestle.
The papaya salad is best served with sticky rice (khao neow) and grilled chicken. Submitted by: LIZZY63

Monday pasta

I call this Monday pasta because my kids expect some variation on this theme most Mondays. You can vary the vegetables, pasta shape, and protein. Use chicken instead of ham. Add prawns and asparagus to make a fancier dinner for company. I also make a vegetarian version adding broccoli and omitting the ham.Submitted by: ALTHEA13
