I also only used salt and pepper. I did everything else the same. The hubby and I both liked it. It reminds me of meatloaf in a way. We will be making it again!
I make this recipe, but use only salt & pepper. I also use a lg can of tomato juice instead of the tomato paste and water- tastes good, and leaves extra broth to use. Even my kids like it!! oh, and you make it in the am and forget about it until dinner time!!!
