Nutrition & Calorie Comments

This came out really good. Added some basil & low sodium chicken broth.
Tasty! Like everyone else I tossed in a few other items. Instead of regular V8 I used spicy low sodium along with low fat chicken stock, I tossed in some garlic, fresh mushrooms, cumin and a big bunch of cilantro. Don't cook it to death - a little crunch is good for the soul! Enjoy!
I did not add the Lipton soup mix, nor the bouillon cubes, but I did add 1 lb of gd chicken, there fore I increased the protein. This soup was really good.
Does anyone know if the 'Nutritional Info' includes the 'optional V8 juice'??? I don't use the soup mix. I use low sodium V8. No Bullion either. I eat it with a pinch of cayenne pepper and a dash of vinegar....makes it taste like irish corned beef and cabbage (minus the corned beef) :)
Instead of the chicken buillon, use low sodium chicken or vegetable broth, intead of V8 use tomato paste or tomato sauce. You can also use the low sodium dice tomato. Enjoy!
I used Baby Bel mushrooms and one can of Mild Rotel Tomatoes & Chilies as substitutes for the regular mushrooms and tomatoes. I also chopped up four sausage soy patties in the soup. Instead of adding V8, I used a can of vegetable broth and a can of low-fat beef broth. Great soup for a cold night.
Wow~This soup is fantastic! It's bursting with flavor. I used low sodium chicken broth & also added some cilantro & a chopped jalapeno pepper to it. Yummy!
Wonderful taste! I agree with MRS_JRS6494. I make and take for lunch to keep me from want to eat in the cafeteria :). I did substitute low sodium chicken broth for the base.
