Introduction

Hungarian yumminess Hungarian yumminess
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 medium yellow onion, sliced
    8 cups chopped cabbage
    8 oz egg noodles
    1 tbsp vegetable oil
    2 tbsp butter
    Paprika (you choice of ammount)
    Seasoned salt pepper

Directions

Make sure you have a deep skillet, at least 2 inches!!!

Chop all of your ingrediants to uniform shape.
Heat your skillet to a medium-medium high heat, adding your butter and oil. Add onions and saute' till tender. Then add cabbage and 1/2 cup of water. Cover and let steam. When cabbage has softened add your ingredients and cook till cabbage is very tender.

While everything is steaming, cook your egg noodles according to instructions. Don't over cook! or it'll end up as mush.

Once everything is cooked, combine together in a large bowl. And season to your hearts content! i suggest a nice hungarian paprika.

*You can used lawry's season salt instead of just salt and pepper, and a touch of sugar if the cabbage isn't quite in season*
**I changed the wording and the organization a bit for easier cooking**

Just a guess, but I think you make the noodles in the sauce pan and combine the other ingredients in the skillet. Add the noodles when they are tender, once everything else is done cooking. - 1/15/09
