My entire family ate this which is a miracle! It makes a huge pan though. I think next time I would make a 1/2 batch. We got tired of eating them after three dinners in a row. - 5/25/09

This is a fave around my place-I have my BFF make it every year for July 4th, & I have had oth friends req me to make it! I use whatever cream soup I have avail, & use frozen hash browns-if a double batch use cubes & shredded. LOTS of cheese, & I throw in extra garlic-shredded or powder! A HIT!! - 4/13/09

They were good but it took foreverto cook. Next time I think I will change it up a bit and use the cream of chicken soup and maybe turn the heat up to 400. - 10/7/07

So they taste great but I have to know... Is the dish supposed to become mashed? I cooked it at 400 for about 1hr15min, was I supposed to cover it while cooking? I just expected the texture to be slightly different and they hardly browned on the top. - 7/18/12

This has become a family favorite. Very good. Cut the onions down by half. We aren't big onion fans - 2/5/12

My family makes this for numerous get togethers. I add caramelized onions and garlic (in place of the scallions). I'm so glad to have you enter this and that the nutrition isn't all that bad! Thanks to much!!! - 4/1/11

My husband loved it, which is saying something! I thought it was just ok. Halved the recipe and cooked for 1 hr at 400, and still didn't seem done to me?? But again, my husband said I could make that again and he would be all smiles! - 2/13/11

I have always made these as a side for parties. Though I make them in a crock pot rather then baking them. It cooks the potatoes a little more, the ingredients blend a little more, and I can just throw everything in, mix it up, and not worry about them until party time! - 2/5/11

I'm not one to plan meals ahead of time, so this dish really grabbed my attention. You literally take frozen hash browns and cook a delicious side dish with them! Delicious and extremely easy to prepare! - 7/6/10

I liked these a lot, as did my family. I found them to be a little dry and I'm not sure what to do to moisten them up. Maybe more soup?? Anyway, the flavor was really good! I used diced onion that I had frozed instead of the green onion. - 1/6/10

I NEVER get tired of eating these potatoes!! I crush up corn falkes an spinkle on top for a crunch too. And sometimes for a twist I add fat-free ranch dressing. My daughter-in-law begs me to make these potatoes!! - 6/13/09

This has been a family favorite for years, usually for breakfast with scrambled eggs on the side. I always use Cream of Mushroom Soup & have just started using the green onions rather than Fried Onions. I double it and with frozen potatoes at 400 it takes 1 hr & 15 mins. - 4/18/09

Delicious recipe!!!! I used Simply Potatoes instead of frozen. These are fresh shredded potatoes. The recipe doesn't take as long to cook. My family ( a lot of picky eaters) says this is their favorite potatoe recipe. - 2/18/09

Delicious! Even my picky family loved it. Left out the green onions, and used mushroom soup (that's what I had), but it was really good. It does take a long time to cook/brown, so next time I need to start it a little earlier! - 11/7/07

This was sooo good. I found out later that "frozen potatoes" most likely does not refer to tater tots, which is what I used, so mine was probably about 1000 calories :-) - 10/10/07
