I wonder what the fat content is if you remove the nuts? Looks like a great recipe. My oven is preheating now! - 12/30/08

I made this and used all splenda, and replaced oil with applesauce. It was a little tough, even though I didn't stir too much. It had pretty good flavor and is edible. I may add more cinnamon if I make it again. - 10/18/09

Would using egg beaters, non-fat milk, and whole wheat flour change the calories much? Also could a partial substitution on the oil with flax seed work on the bread? How would it alter the nutritional content? - 3/6/09

Quick prep time, and delicious! To make this even healthier (less fat, no cholesterol) I used Ener-G Egg Replacer instead of the egg and replaced half the oil with applesauce. Thanks for sharing the recipe! - 11/6/07

I've made this several times now. I've found if I chuck up the apples myself that the bread doesn't have much flavor and has soft apple "bombs" throughout. This time I did a rough chop in my blender so the pieces were in little slivers and this time the bread tastes WAY better and no soft spots! - 3/19/14

My house smells so DELICIOUS after making this! When I make it next time (and there will definitely be a next time! I love any recipe that is this quick and easy), I'll add more pecans. 1/4 cup of nuts didn't cut it for this girl. - 2/23/14

I used 1/2 wheat flour, 1/2 white, splenda, applesauce for oil, left off the nuts, LF soy milk, increased the cinnamon. I liked it okay, but I don't think it is something I would take to the office or make again. - 10/19/12

My husband & my 4yo made this together- so much healthier than boxed mixes! He had to substitute in pear for apple, couldn't even tell. Also put in apple sauce instead of oil. It's very good! The kids are going to finish it off! - 2/6/10
