Ingredients

    Safeway 15-Bean Soup Mix (dry), 2.5 cup
    Ham, extra lean, (5% fat), 227 grams
    Chicken Broth or Bouillon, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    Garlic, 1 tsp
    Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped
    Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    Lawry's Seasoned Salt, 2 tsp
    Water, tap, 8 cup (8 fl oz)

Directions

Place all ingredients in crockpot, simmer on LOW for 8 hours. It could probably be cooked on HIGH for 3 hours.

    This soup is out of this world!!! It turned out SO well!!! I've never been a huge bean person and have never really cooked with beans. My parents used to make chili when we were a kid, but that was about it. I LOVED this soup! It makes so much and the favor from the ham is wonderful. Thanks!!!! - 11/8/08
