Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

Red Ripe Tomatoes, 8 plum tomato (remove)
Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) (remove)
    Jalapeno Peppers, 2.5 pepper (remove)
    Cilantro, raw, 10 tbsp (remove)
Lime Juice, 8 wedge yields (remove

Directions

Slice - dice and cut everything into cube's.

Take the seeds out of the peppers before you begin choppng them - or if you want more spice - leave the seeds in or add more peppers.

Cilantro I actually add more than 10 tblspns but the option was only table spoon - I add a handful of it, so maybe a half a cup of chopped cilantro fresh - just the leaves.

The juice of two limes should be squeezed in at the very end - mix and then chill.

For a fast cooling snack or meal I add cold chicken breast to this to make a chicken salsa salad.

my sister make a similar recipe for salsa and it tastes great. If there isn't any fresh tomatoes (say in the winter time) she will use crushed or diced canned tomatoes. She will also sometimes add a can of green chilies or hot sauce to taste. FYI The longer the salsa sits the hotter it gets. - 6/29/08

yum! that sounds great and i would love to try it, but it is almost impossible to find jalapenos here. maybe i'll try to replace them with turkish green chili peppers! - 6/13/08
