I make this sandwich all the time, except I add cucumbers. I thought this recipe was going to have Green Goddess dressing incorporated into it and I was disappointed! =) Still a tasty sandwich! Sometimes I take a laughing cow and mash it with the avocado also. - 4/22/09

how do you mash the avocado? It was too hard to mash for me - do you cook it first. I never made one before, but this sounded good and so many liked it I would love to try. Could you please give some more preparation instructions? Thanks. - 4/13/09

to mash the avacado, just cut a ripe avacado in half take out the seed scoop the meat into a bowl and mash it with a fork, ripe avacado is soft

I will be having this everyday for lunch for as long as possible! I tried it yesterday, and actually went back to work happy and bragging about it. Had it today, and just as good! Since I'm no good in the kitchen, I cheated and bought Wholly Guacamole 100 calorie packs for the avacado. THANK YOU! - 10/1/08

great recipe but I noticed that Sara Lee has high fructose corn syrup in their bread...so I try to get orowheat. or the other breads ... I too add cucumbers... and jalapenos for a kick. - 6/18/12

This was great! I had it twice on Saturday and I'm going to get more avocado tonight! I added just a little light mayo because I love it. I thought it would need cheese, but it really doesn't. - 9/16/08

This is a perfect meal on a hot day. We enjoyed this so much we've made it several times in the past week. We even added a few slices of shaved turkey breast once and put it on 7-grain bread. Tasty! - 5/21/08
