Introduction

A very filling soup; almost like a stew A very filling soup; almost like a stew
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1 cup chopped onion
    a couple of cloves of garlic, if you like it ;) I use 3 but I looove garlic
    1 T olive oil
    2 14 oz cans Italian style stewed tomatoes
    2 cans great northern beans
    3 cups chicken broth
    1 T dried parsley
    2 t dried basil
    .5 t black pepper
    4 oz. small shell pasta, cooked

Directions

Cook onion in oil until tender.
Add remaining ingredients (except pasta) in large pan.
Simmer for 10 minutes
Add pasta. Simmer for 10 minutes, uncovered.

Makes approximately five 2 cup servings

    This was good. I'm not an experienced cook, so didn't notice "canned" in front of the beans...had to stick it in the crock pot for a few hours to soften up the dried beans I used. - 12/19/08
