Used my home canned green beans to make this and not all of the Italian seasoning mix (to save on sodium) and still found them to be wonderful. Served with Bruschetta Stuffed Chicken from this site at dinner party. Guests raved!! - 2/15/10

These are excellent, probably the best green beans I've ever had. I don't like spending a lot of time in the kitchen, and these were so fast and easy to make that I'll be making them a lot in the future. - 1/6/10

ahaha--that's awesome. I thought I invented the recipe! I'm so glad this one did it for you. I also make peas with the Italian Seasoning but use light butter in place of the olive oil and sometimes add mushrooms &/or water chestnuts--yummy!

Am I missing something? Most comments used a dry dressing mix and indicated that was what the recipe called for. it states use 2 tbsp dressing & drizzle on beans. I'll try it both ways and add a little extra herbs as others mentioned. It soiunds quick and tasty. - 4/22/19

Great recipe. I threw this in one of those microwavable (Reynold's) steamer bags with a small amount (maybe 2-3 tbsp) of real bacon bits (boyfriend loves bacon). Great side dish to the baked pork chops recipe also on SparkPeople. - 3/17/13

    O.K.
I went to Vons and the store didn't have a regular Italian dressing mix, so I had to go with the zesty variety which was much more peppery. Next time, I will try to get the regular mix and cut down a little on the oil. It also could have used a little squeezed lemon. - 12/9/12

These are wonderful! The first time I made them I made them as directed. Now I make them at least twice a week! We can't get enough of them! I do alter the recipe a bit. I use 20 ozs. of green beans, 1 tablespoon of oil &1 packet of dressing. I could eat the whole pan by myself! YUMMMMMM!!! - 11/14/12
