Ingredients

    1. Prepare the filling recipe first.
    2 medium onions chopped and diced fine place in large skillet with a little olive oil and saute then add 1/4 cup pinenuts and cook for five minutes stirring often. Add 8 oz. of lean ground beef & saute for 10 minutes add the following seasonings:1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp blk pepper, 1/4 tsp red pepper and stir & cook for another 5 minutes . T urn off flame and let drain.
    2. Prepare the shell mixture. Mix together 1 cup Bulgur ,

    1cup cold water
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium egg
    1 tsp paprika
    1 tsp allspice
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp blk pepper
    1/4 tsp red pepper
    Knead and add waterto moisten hands and continue kneading til meat is smooth and paste like consistency. ( You can also do this in a food processor if you dont want to do it manually).
    3.spray some pam in a 9 inch pan. Layer half the shell mixture evenly in the pan.
    next cover this layer with the filling recipe evenly.
    Next wet hands take a small amount of the shell mixture , make flat patties and cover the filling evenly. wet hands and smooth out the surface, blending the patties together.
    Now spray some butter over the top layer.


Directions

Place the prepared 9 inch pan in the heated 375 degree oven for one hour. Cover with aluminum sheet for the first half hour only.
Yield will be 8 or more servings.
Cut into squares prior to serving.
