Ingredients

    1/2 cup fresh orange juice
    lime juice from 1 lime
    4 oz tequila liquor
    2 tsp cumin powder
    2 tsp brown sugar (can use Splenda brand)
    1 jalapeno sliced (remove seeds if don't like a lot of heat)
    1 pound ham steak with bone

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients listed into a ziplock baggie. Seal and shake until well combined. Then place ham steak in bag and seal. Marinate ham steak for 4 hours. On high heat grill ham on both sides for a total of 10 minutes.
You can also marinate meat in a pan if you prefer not to use a ziploc bag.
Makes about 4-5 servings.

    Sounds like a camping breakfast (side) dish to go with scrambled eggs, to me! (or, better yet, wrap it all up in a warm tortila with some salsa, even better!). - 4/27/10

    Incredible!
    This was really good. I think I overpowered it by adding both chipotle chile powder and ancho chile powder, but the flavors were awesome. Next time I'll add a dash of chipotle chile instead of 1 teaspoon. We reserved the marinade and made sauce by adding a little water and cornstarch. Delicious! - 4/29/08
