Introduction

This is a semi-modified version, using less sugar and less oil than the original. I've made this using my own spices instead of the packet, to reduce the sodium. You can really play with this recipe and tweak it to your liking. This is a semi-modified version, using less sugar and less oil than the original. Ingredients

2 bags of shredded cabbage cole slaw (I used 3-color deli slaw)
2 packages Ramen Oriental, crushed (or Chicken if you can't find it)
1/2 cup green onions, chopped (can sub regular onions or dehydrated flakes - about 1T if dehydrated)
    1/2 cup canola oil
    4oz/8T rice vinegar
    2T sugar
2 packets truvia (or Splenda, etc. or just use more sugar)
    1/2 cup sesame seeds
    1/2 cup raisins

Directions

Get yourself a big bowl. Empty cabbage bags into large bowl. Crush up ramen; add. Sprinkle sugar and seasoning over. Add remaining ingredients and stir, stir, stir. Cover and let it sit in the fridge at least 2 hours before eating.

Makes about 15 1 cup servings.

This is completely different than the toenail salad our family makes. I think I would skip the raisins because of my diabetes, but it sounds good. - 12/14/18
