When the ingredients are fresh, salads can be simple yet impressive. This traditional, classic Israeli salad is perfect as a side, salad, or as filling for your pita.
Submitted by LOULOUBThis was my great-grandfather's favorite salad. He didn't like lettuce, so when he saw this salad coming out, he always said, "Oh boy, salad!" thus the name.

A healthy, mayo-free, but still delicious version of deviled eggs!
Tzatziki is a Greek and Turkish appetizer, also used as a sauce or dip. This recipe is perfect with Mediterranean dishes or anything else on a hot summer's day.

I love broccoli crunch salad, but have loathed the 400 calories per cup of some of my favorites. I've tried multiple times unsuccessfully to create a healthier version that still tastes like my favorite and that helps me enjoy eating these cruciferous powerhouses without the payback. I think I have finally got it.
Kudos to LIBRARYCAT for the initial recipe I found on Sparkrecipes that led me in the right direction. I still wanted something with less calories and sugars. . .and a bigger portion.
Have fun!
From the Kitchen of Camille Engel... My friends and family LOVE this recipe. It is great served alongside chicken or salmon. Serve it as a dip with tortilla chips (or jicama slices for a no-grain healthy dipper.)
Submitted by OILPAINTERThis salad travels well for picnics and work lunches, and keeps for several days in the fridge. Makes a great stuffing for pita pockets, or over cooked bulgur or brown rice.
Submitted by JO_JO_BAHere is a lovely vinaigrette that I have come across during my travels in France and perfected myself. It's definitely tangy and fresh. If you love garlic this vinaigrette is perfect. Serve it with a simple baguette and a bit of cheese, pour on your salads, or dress your meat with it.
