Ingredients

    A small New York strip
    a can of black beans, rinsed
    diced avocado
    diced large tomato
    juice of two limes
    red leaf lettuce or salad mix

Directions

Heat a grill pan or cast iron skillet on the stove to medium high. On plates distribute the lettuce, beans, and diced vegetables. Squirt the lime juice over the salad.
Cook the steak four minutes a side. Season to taste, and slice thinly on the diagonal. Feather the pieces on top of the salad.
