Ingredients

Ground beef, extra lean, 7 oz (remove)
Spinach, fresh, 57 grams, chopped very fine
*Coconut Milk (Native Forest) Organic Classic 1/4c=60ml 1can=400ml=13.5oz Gluten Free GF, 15 gram(s) (remove)
Harvest Farms Organic Marinara Sauce, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Garlic powder, 1 tbsp (remove)
    *Coriander seed, .5 tsp (remove)
    *Cumin seed, 1 tsp (remove)
    Turmeric, ground, .25 tsp (remove)
    Nutmeg, ground, .5 tsp (remove)
    Cloves, ground, .25 tsp (remove)
Pepper, red or cayenne, .25 tsp (remove)
    Salt, .5 tsp (remove)
    Cinnamon, ground, .5 tsp (remove)

Directions

Grind the spices in a spice grinder or with a mortar and pestle if you want to be truly authentic. Set aside half the spice mixture, and combine remaining spice with the ground meat and spinach. Don't overmix or the meat will get tough. Roll the balls with your hands, and panfry at medium high until brown on all sides. While they are cooking, mix the remaining spice, coconut milk and marinara sauce and simmer gently until fragrant, thickened and a nice brown color.
This is a fantastic party food! Each serving is two meatballs, plus a bit of the sauce to dip in. Entire recipe makes 12 meatballs, each about 1 oz.
