Introduction

Yummy Vegan, Gluten and Wheat Free protein bars. At 15 grams of protein, these are great for a post workout snack!

I came up with this recipe in efforts to find something homemade and less expensive than Cliff Bars that my husband would eat. I wanted to make him a homemade bar that he would enjoy and that would cost less than a dollar per bar.

Ingredients

3/4 cup Rolled oats (not instant) soaked overnight then drained
    2 Tbsp Hemp protein powder
    5 Tbsp Organic peanut butter
    1/2 cup (not packed) Raisins
    1 Tbsp Honey
    1/4 tsp spirulina (optional)

Directions

Soak oats overnight. Drain oats and combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Mix well. Spray a small loaf pan with olive oil and press mixture into bottom. Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes to make firm, or just enjoy right out of the bowl!

Note: If you have a dehydrator: To make the bars more firm form and place on dehydrator sheet at 115 degrees for about 4 hours. Flip the bars half way and then when finished put in the fridge.

Enjoy :o)
