Introduction

An asian twist on an old-fashioned favorite. If you buy the pre-shredded cabbage, this recipe is a cinch to throw together and a crowd favorite! Ingredients

    For the Slaw:
    16 oz. bag: 3-color cole slaw mix (bagged in produce section)
    8 oz. bag: Shredded red cabbage (bagged in produce section)
    6 medium scallions, sliced
    1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 2-inch sections then thinly sliced
    2 T. black sesame seeds (substitute white)

    For the Dressing:
    2 T. freshly grated ginger
    2 T canola oil
    2 T sesame oil
    1/3 c. low-sodium soy sauce
    3 T. rice wine vinegar
    2 t. honey

Directions

Mix all ingredients "for the slaw" in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate 2-cup mixing bowl, mix all ingredients "for the dressing".
Toss all ingredients together.
Makes 14 1/2-cup servings or 7 1-cup servings.
