Introduction

Prayer for you on a bad day: Thank you Father for carrying us when we struggle. We're grateful that you don't turn you back on us when we are in trouble. Help us to minimize our struggles; yet, at the same time, help us to recognize that any struggle we might have is small in comparison to the great God we serve. Help us to Praise your Name in the midst of our struggles. Give us peace in the midst of troubles & struggles in Your Son's name we pray. Ingredients

    3 squirrels (cut up)
    1 cup Flour
    Salt and Pepper to taste

1/3 cup Butter, Lard, or Oil for making Gravy
    6 Tbsp. Flour
    3 cups cold water

Directions

First you have to get Charlie to go hunting and kill about 15 squirrels. Make sure that Jo is around to help him skin the squirrels. You must have a great big black iron pot. Some hog lard, salt, pepper, and flour from the flour barrel.

Cut the squirrels up: legs, back and be sure to keep the head for Geraldine she loves the brains! ugg.

Flour the squirrel after seasoning.
Turn the fire on the pot down real low and cook the squirrel until it is very tender.
Take the squirrel out of the pot and make the brown gravy. Put some flour from the flour barrel into the hot grease and let it get really dark. Salt and pepper to taste. Pour water into the pot until it is kind of thin. Let it cook for a minute or two until it is thick. Then put the squirrel into the pot and let it cook for a few minutes.
