Ingredients

    2 cans pork and beans
1 can kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans) drained and rinsed
    1 cup ketchup
    2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup onion (diced)
1 lb extra lean hamburger (or ground turkey)

Directions

Brown the ground beef/turkey with onion in a not stick pan (drain)

Cut bacon into 1/4 to 1/2 inch peices. Cook in non stick pan and drain on paper towel.

Mix the pork and beans, kidney beans, and chickpeas together in a slow cooker. Add cooked ground beef and bacon. Stir in ketchup, mustard, brown sugar.

Cook on low heat for 1 hour so flavor develops.

***Note: sometimes I'll add some BBQ sauce or BBQ seasoning to the recipe for a smoky flavor
