Introduction

Ingredients

1 28 oz. Can Great Value Crushed Tomatoes in Puree
1 8 oz Can Hunts Tomato Sauce No Salt Added (New Label)
4 oz. Water (Rinse canswith water and add to sauce.)
1 tsp. Italian Herb Seasoning - McCormick
1 Bay Leaf
1 tsp Basil
2 tsp Garlic
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
3 Packets Sweet 'N Low
1/2 Cup Chopped Onions
1 tsp Salt (Optional & will reduce sodium if left out)
Directions
Add all ingredients to pot. Bring to simmer and cook, covered with a screen to catch any spurts of sauce, for 2 hours. Stir every 20-30 minutes, scraping sides down.
This sauce CAN be cooked for only about 30 minutes for a quick sauce.
You can also saute the garlic and onions in 2 tbsp. Olive Oil (Calories not factored in)
Makes about 8 1/2 cup servings, and can easily be doubled for large groups. Leave out the salt to reduce the sodium.
