Introduction

This is a recipe from Steamykitchen.com that I've tweeked a little. Back and white sesame seeds make this a really pretty dish. If I'm in a hurry, I use Newman's Own Sesame Ginger Dressing but I've also made the lime ginger dressing from the website. This is a recipe from Steamykitchen.com that I've tweeked a little. Ingredients

3 TB Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    3 TB Black Sesame Seeds
    3 TB White Sesame Seeds
    4 Tsp Wasabi Paste(prepared)

Directions

Cut tuna into 2, 4 oz steaks (if needed). Wash tuna and dry well on paper towels. Rub wasabi paste all over steaks. Coat each side of the steaks with sesame seeds.
Meanwhile, heat pan over medium-high heat. Add oil and heat through. Add tuna to pan and sear for 2-3 minutes (longer if desired. Cooking length will depend on thickness of steak and how cooked you want the center). I like mine pink and barely warm in the center.
Serve sliced tuna over a salad of field greens.
Use dressing of choice. (A ginger based dressing would be best).
