Ingredients

    4 pork loin chops, (1.5lb) trimmed fat
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 garlic clove

    sauce
    2 tbsp olive oil
    4 tbsp sherry
    4 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp splenda brown sugar
    1/4 tsp crushed red peppers
    2 tsp cornstarch
    2 tbsp water

Directions

Heat oil in skillet, brown chops
remove and add a little more oil if needed.
saute garlic, do not burn.
combine oil, sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper.
Place chops in skillet. pour sauce over chops, cover.
simmer on low until chops are tender and cooked through, 30-35min.
add a little water if needed to keep sauce from cooking down too much.
turn once.
remove chops to platter. stir in cornstarch dissolved in water. cook until thickened.
Pour over chops and serve.

    Incredible!
    My wife cooks better than I do but I followed this recipe and doubled it for us. I served it with broccoli florets and garlic mashed potatos. I am not a spice lover but the wife is and we were both happy. next time I may use a little less brown suger splenda and a bit more crushed red pepper. - 3/15/11

    I have this same recipe! It is awesome and maybe my favorite way to prepare pork chops. I was looking for a way to make it lighter and didn't know that there was a splenda brown sugar. I usually serve it over fettuccine which adds about 100cals per serving. - 5/13/08
