Ingredients

    1 medium onion
    1 medium bell pepper
    1 clove garlic
    1 T olive oil
    1t crushed red pepper flakes
    2 T red wine vinegar
    2 t Florida Crystals cane sugar
    1t kosher salt
    1 t fresh ground pepper

Directions

Preheat pan on medium to medium high. Slice onions and peppers into strips and set aside. Slice garlic clove and set aside. Once pan is heated, add oil. Next, add onions and peppers, sauteeing for about 2 minutes, careful not to burn or brown at this point. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Next, sprinkle the hot pepper flakes, sugar, salt and pepper and stir to combine. next pour vinegar over and let it simmer until it starts to soak in. Keep cooking until the onions and peppers develop a nice brown color.
