Ingredients
-
1 small to medium Bosc Pear (nice and ripe)
1 drizzle of honey (to taste)
dash of cinnamon (to taste)
1 quick drop/splash of GOOD vanilla extract
Pam non stick spray
Directions
Spray a skillet with your choice of non-stick cooking spray. Turn the burner on and allow your pan to get warm/hot. In the meantime, clean and cut your pear. I sliced mine really thin to allow a quicker cooking time.
Throw the pear slices in the hot skillet. Add the cinnamon first so that it will stick to the pear slices and flavor the dish better. Then add the splash of vanilla extract. Finally, drizzle some clover honey of your liking over the dish. I barely made even a half teaspoon of honey.
The cinnamon and honey can be increased to your taste or if you are prepping two or more pears. The amounts really are all moderately "eyeballed".
Sauté the pear slices for two minutes, keeping the pan on medium/high heat. Stir only once as the Bosc pears can be really soft.
If you want real decadence, serve warm with a scoop of frozen fat free vanilla yogurt on top and garnish with a cinnamon stick!

Absolutely delicious! I fixed this today for my post work-out snack and just loved it! Frozen FF vanilla would be wonderful with it. I had FF vanilla yogurt and ate that with it with a sprinkle of cinnamon and it was perfect along side it. Thanks for being creative and sharing it! Delicious!!! - 10/24/10
