Introduction
This is an easy slow cooker meal that is great served over rice or chow mein noodles. I use boneless rib meat and it makes a ton of food! This is an easy slow cooker meal that is great served over rice or chow mein noodles. I use boneless rib meat and it makes a ton of food!Number of Servings: 12
Ingredients
-
Beef ribs, approximately 1.3 kg (2.86 pounds) of meat alone, not including bones (I buy boneless to start with because the long ribs often won't fit in my slow cooker)
1 cup barbecue sauce (I use a store brand original or garlic flavour)
1/3 cup soy sauce (the recipe is calculated with standard soy sauce; low-sodium will reduce that number)
1 tsp liquid smoke
2 cloves garlic, diced
Directions
Put all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook on low 7-8 hours (or on high approximately 4 hours, but I recommend the longer time on the lower temperature to make the rib meat tender).
Makes 12 servings of a little over 100g (3.5 oz) of meat and sauce each, leaving plenty of calories for a vegetable dish and some brown rice with it.
