Introduction

This is the tuna salad that my Mom always made and I have never stopped loving. It's great with crackers, on bread or toast, pita pockets, veggies or all on its own.

You can lower the sodium by buying low sodium sweet peas, which we have not been able to find as of yet.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 12oz Can Solid White Albacore Tuna in Water (Drained)

    3/4 Cup Le Sueur Very Young Small Sweet Peas (Drained)

    1/2 Cup of Hellman's Light Mayo

    4 Medium to Large Scallions (Finely Chopped)

    1 1/2 Teaspoons of Dill Weed (or Fresh Dill)

    Salt & Pepper To Taste

Directions

1) Drain Tuna and place in mixing bowl. Be sure to take a fork and break up/shred the tuna.

2) Add mayo and mix well, scallions, dill, salt and pepper and mix well.

3) Add sweet peas and with spoon, gently mix well into tuna.

Chill and pop it onto your favorite bread, cracker, pita or veggie and enjoy.

    try frozen peas, thawed in cool water for 5 minutes. Adds a nice crunch instead of soggy peas. - 2/11/10
