Ingredients
-
1 Bag of Reames frozen noodles (11 serving size)
2 cans of Swanson or other 99 percent fat-free broth (about 4 cups)
2 cups of turkey broth from the fresh turkey in the oven
2 tbsp ground sage
4 cups water
1 cups of dark meat turkey pieces (the bits that fall off while carving)
Directions
Makes about 12 1/2 cup servings
Add 2 cans of chicken broth and about 4 cups of water to a large pot and bring to a boil. Add the bag of noodles and bring back to a boil, then turn to medium-low and continue cooking, stirring frequently.
Add turkey broth and turkey bits as you are carving turkey. (Even better: save broth from a previous turkey with fat skimmed off and freeze broth and turkey pieces until you're making this dish.) Add sage and salt & pepper to taste. Cook until noodles are tender, around 45 minutes.
