Introduction

The rich, sweet crust over the baked apple filing is delicious! Great alone, with whipped cream, or over ice cream. A little goes a long way. The rich, sweet crust over the baked apple filing is delicious! Great alone, with whipped cream, or over ice cream. A little goes a long way.

Ingredients

1 can Comstock More Fruit Apple Pie Filling
    1/2 C Apple Juice
1 Box Betty Crocker Supermoist Butter Pecan Cake Mix
    1/2 C Butter
    1/2 C Chopped Pecans

**for healthier option, use no sugar added pie filling, reduce to 1/2 box cake mix (this will result in thinner top crust), and reduce butter to 1/4 C.

Directions

Preheat oven to 325. Coat 9X9 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Spread apple filling into bottom of pan. Over filling, add 1/2 C apple juice. Put dry cake mix on top and create crevices to evenly hold melted butter. Drizzle melted butter over dry cake mix. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake at 325 for 55 minutes. Cool and serve.

No need to refrigerate if keeping only 1 or 2 days.
