Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain, 1 cup
Parsley, chopped, 1 tbsp
Onions, raw, chopped, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
Salt, 0.5 tsp
Water, tap, 4 cup (8 fl oz)
Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
Directions
Makes 4 servings
1. Fry onions in oil until golden, about 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle with salt.
2. Add oatmeal. Toast for 2 minutes on high heat.
3. Add parsley and stir.
4. Add water and bring to a boil.
5. Wait 2-3 minutes before serving. Soup will naturally thicken.
