Introduction

Venison, Rice, Tomatoes, Peppers, and onion! Venison, Rice, Tomatoes, Peppers, and onion!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 lb Ground Venison (or other ground meat)
    2 chopped bell peppers ( i used 1 green and 1 red)
    1 chopped onion
    1 can of petite diced tomatoes
    1 cup of salsa
    1 cup of uncooked long grain white rice
    2 cups of water

Directions

Chop the peppers and onion as desired, Brown ground venison (or beef) in skillet. Add the chopped veggies and a can of petite diced tomatoes, or fresh chopped tomatoes if desired. Simmer for 5 min, stirring occasionally. Add 1 cup of uncooked white rice, and 2 cups of water, and 1 cup of salsa. Stir together well, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15 min or until rice is tender. Enjoy by itself or over lettuce, or in a tortilla or taco shell.
