Ingredients

    Southern Brussel Sprouts

1 quart of fresh or 1 package of frozen, but thawed brussel sprouts
1/2 package of bacon - thick sliced
    1/2 cup diced onions
    2 tbsp. honey
1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese (optional)
    1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

First cut brussel sprouts in half. Then cut up bacon in small pieces, put in a large heated skillet and sauté cook until crispy. Once bacon is crispy, sauté 1/2 cup of diced onions and brussel sprouts until onions are transparent/tender and brussel sprouts are bright green.

Transfer bacon, onion and brussel sprouts to service dish. Drizzle 2 tbsp. of honey over the top and mix well.

For an additional option, mix in 1/4 cup chopped pecans and sprinkle shred parmesan cheese on top.

These are yummy and if you don't like brussel sprouts you may just like these; my husband and son sure did and ask for them all the time.
