Introduction

Old fashion sausage gravy with a kick. I once read "what warms you up, slims you down", the cayenne pepper does just that. enjoy over Pillsbury IQF Biscuits. 1/3 cup works well for each biscuit split in 1/2. Ingredients

    16 oz Jimmy Dean sausage regular, 16 oz
    2 tbsp Bacon fat, rendered
    1 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne
    3 cups 2% Milk,
    1/3c All-Purpose Flour
    1/2 tbsp Garlic powder
    1/2 tbsp Onion powder,
    1/2 tbsp Pepper, black,
    2tsp Salt

Directions

In a separate bowl, combine flour,and spices together. Brown Sausage in Skillet ( I personally use my electric), when brown pull to one side and add the bacon fat to the other side,add the flour mixture to the fat to make a rue (kind of dry one). bring sausage and rue together and mix well. Add milk and bring to a boil, simmer until desired thickness is achieved. Serve over biscuits. makes 14 -1/3 cup servings; enough for 1 split Pillsbury IQF Biscuit.
