Ingredients
-
1 Earthgrain Thin Bun
1 chicken thigh
1 slice of Sargento's Swiss cheese
1/2 of a slice of pineapple
1/2 of a slice of red onion
Directions
1. Heat frying pan on high heat. Place chicken in frying pan and cook about 4 to 5 minutes (depending on how small the chicken thigh is you might need only about 4 minutes). Flip and immediately add cheese to breast. Continue cooking until cheese is melted and chicken is lightly charred and firm to touch. Remove from frying pan and set aside.
2. While chicken rests, add pineapple and the thin hamburger buns to frying pan. Cook the buns until they are lightly toasted, and pineapple slices until they are camenlized, about 2 minutes each side. Top bun with chicken, pineapple and red onion.
This recipe can also be done on the grill instead of the frying pan. If you would like you can marinate the chicken breast in teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes and up to 12 hours, but I didn't figure that into the nutrition info for the recipe. Also, you can add jalapeno slices to the sandwich if you want to add a little spice to it, but again, that's not inlcuded in the nutrition info.
Enjoy this yummy recipe!!! :)
