The original recipe was taken from McCormick.com; however, I changed it up a little bit flavor-wise and to lower the calories. .Get a feel of the islands while enjoying grilled turkey burgers topped with a fiery pineapple salsa.

Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    SALSA
    1/2 c.chopped Mango
    1 tbsp jalepeno pepper, finely chopped
    1 tbsp Orange Juice
    1/2 tsp. McCormick Caribbean Jerk Seasoning

    BURGERS
    1lb. Ground turkey, 93% lean
    1/3 c. crushed pineapple, well drained
    1 tbsp sweet onion, finely chopped
    1 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
    1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (for a little extra kick) optional
    2 tsp. McCormick Caribbean Jerk Seasoning
    4 Whole Wheat sandwich thins
    4 Lettuce leaves
    1/4c. barbeque sauce

Directions

1. For the Tropical Salsa, mix all ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.(alternatively you can use 1/2 c. crushed pineapple that has been well drained)

2. Mix ground turkey, pineapple, onion, parsley and Seasoning in large bowl. Shape into 4 patties. (alternatively you can use 1Tbs. chopped jalapeņo peppers)

3. Grill burgers over medium heat or cook in nonstick skillet 4 to 6 minutes per side or until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Serve on sandwich thins topped with lettuce, 2 tsp. barbeque sauce, and Tropical Salsa.
