Ingredients

2/3 cup softened butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 grated carrots
1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup quick cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Icing:
1 8 oz pkg non-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup non fat milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 400
Combine butter & sugars.
Beat on medium speed with electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs & beat well.
Add buttermilk & vanilla & beat until blended.
Stir in carrots by hand.
In another bowl combine flours, baking powder and spices.
Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture beating at low speed until blended.
Drop by Tablespoons onto baking sheets.
Bake at 400 for 10-12 min until lightly browned.
Cool completely on wire racks.
For icing:
In a medium bowl combine cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat at low speed with electric mixer until creamy.
Gradually add milk beating well.
Drizzle over cookies.
