Introduction

Tasty noodle casserole you can make and even freeze for other meals... Tasty noodle casserole you can make and even freeze for other meals...
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1(0.575kg) package of Lean Ground Hamburger
    1 box of Whole Grain Penne Pasta
    1/2 cup chopped green peppers
    1/2 cup or small onion,chopped
    1/2 jar of Pasta sauce
    2 cups shredded marble chesse
    salt and pepper to taste(not included in calorie breakdown)

Directions

1)Cook hamburger until no pink shows...(i don't use oil at all as i find there's enough from the hamburger).Add onion, and green pepper.
2)Cook pasta to package instructions.Drain and set aside.
3)Once hamburger/onion/pepper is cooked rinse with warm water to remove excess grease.Return to heat and add sauce.Allow to heat through again.
4)Shred chesse.
5)In large bowl put pasta,hamburger mixture and then 1 cup of the chesse.Mix well.
6)Place in large casserole dish.(i separate this into 2 meals for 4 of us.)Then add remaining 1 cup of cheese to top.
7)Bake in oven either right away at 350(20-25 minutes) until cheese is melted and bubbly.( or freeze and cook at later time.Unthaw first!chesse can be frozen as well or added later at cooking time.)
*can be served with garlic bread/rolls or green salad.
