Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

2 cups of Old Fashioned Oatmeal, ground up (use a blender or chopper)
1 Can of Pinto beans - chopped up
1/4 cup of Green Onions Chopped
    2 Tsp of Garlic Powder
21 seasoning salute (Trader Joes) salt free
1 cup of Prego Heart Smart Spaghetti Sauce
2 tbsp of Sweet Pickle Relish

Directions

You will need one medium mixing bowl
First, grind up the old fashioned oatmeal in a grinder/blender/chopper (use one of these) for about 20 seconds or so, does not need to be super fine. Pour into your mixing bowl. Next open the can of beans, and pour the contents into your blending device and blend until smooth. Scrape the mixture out with a spatula into your mixing bowl.
Chop up 3 green onions, medium/fine which is about 1/4 cup then add to your mix. Add the garlic, seasonings, spaghetti sauce, and the relish. Mix the ingredients together with a spoon until its blended together.
Heat up your skillet to a medium heat, spray with non-stick pan spray. For each pattie, scoop out 1/3 cups of the mix. I use a 1/3 cup measuring scoop so that I can fill it with my mix up to the edge and flatten it out. Dump out the contents from your scoop right into your frying pan. You should be able to fit 3 patties in an 8-10inch skillet. let the first side brown up, then flip it over and press down with your turner until it is the desired size. Gently flick it off your turner, since it will stick just a little bit. Fry each side until it reaches a nice golden brown color, then put on a platter and serve. There is no need to cook through, just heat it up since there aren't any eggs in this recipe. Eat a Pattie by itself, or make a burger using Orowheats sandwich thin burger bun with lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts (what ever you like) for a great Veggie Burger! Best of all the Pattie is wheat free, gluten free.
