Like hamburgers but healthier. I like to have a slice of mozzarella cheese, some lettuce, & tomato with these on a whole wheat hamburger bun. (Not included in calorie count.) Ingredients
-
19.2 oz Honeysuckle Extra Lean Ground White Turkey
3 cups Sliced Baby Bella Mushrooms
3 cups Frozen Chopped Pictsweet Onions
Garlic Salt to taste
Black Pepper to taste
Non-stick Cooking spray
Directions
Saute sliced baby bella mushrooms & frozen chopped onions until tender. Let cool while breaking up ground turkey. Mix mushroom - onion mixture into ground turkey until well mixed. Form into patties. Spray cooking surface with non-stick cooking spray & place in NuWave oven. (I used a NuWave oven to cook these, but would be fine on the grill or baked/broiled in the oven.) Sprinkle with garlic salt & black pepper to taste. Cook for 6 min per side (NuWave oven time) or until cooked through and serve with same fixings as any beef burger.
(I didn't have room for 7 burgers in the oven so had to do 7th burger seperately. Be careful when measuring patties. I wound up with some extra that I discarded as not enough to make another burger.
Serving Size: 7 or 8 approx 4 oz patties
Number of Servings: 7
