Introduction

Delicious salad that gets rave reviews wherever we go! My vegetable-hating-husband loves this side dish as well! Delicious salad that gets rave reviews wherever we go! My vegetable-hating-husband loves this side dish as well!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    8 cups (or 1.5 lbs) chopped Broccoli
    5 T bacon grease
    6 slices of chopped bacon
    2 T Red Wine Vinegar
    1/2 cup slivered almonds
    1/2 cup chopped tart apples (I used Granny Smith) You can also use craisins, but it adds about 20 calories more/serving

Directions

1. Chop all ingredients and place in mixing bowl
2. Warm bacon grease and red wine vinegar in small bowl
3. Pour warmed mixture over other ingredients and toss.
4. Serve room temp or chilled.
