Introduction

No added fat makes this a great breakfast addition. I love it on fresh berries and yogurt. No added fat makes this a great breakfast addition. I love it on fresh berries and yogurt.

Ingredients

    3 1/2 C rolled oats
    2 C puffed kamut
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    3/4 tsp salt
    1/3 C light brown sugar, lightly packed
    1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 cup sugar free maple syrup
    1 tsp vanilla
    3/4 C sliced almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicon mat.
In a large bowl, combine oats, kamut, cinnamon & salt. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, applesauce, syrup and vanilla. Pour brown sugar mixture onto oat mixture and mix well. Stir in almonds.
Spread mixture onto a baking sheet and bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven and flip with a spatula. Bake another 10 minutes and allow to cool completely before transferring to an air-tight container.
