Ingredients

Bowl 1
3 cups flour
2 ½ cups white sugar
½ tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
Bowl 2
Peel and slice 4 large or 5 small apples and sprinkle 4 tsp. cinnamon, 5 tsp. brown sugar over and mix all. (Peaches also work well)
Bowl 3
4 eggs beaten
1 cup vegetable oil
½ cup orange or apple juice
2 ½ tsp vanilla
Directions
1. Mix Bowl 3 ingredients, and pour into Bowl 1.
2. Grease pan.
3. Pour batter (one layer – very thin).
4. Spread apples.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4
**Use angel food pan or bundt pan and make batter the first and last layer.
Bake for 1 hr 45 mins – 2 hrs.
If the top is cooking too fast, put tin foil on top.
I make a glaze of icing sugar, butter and milk to drizzle over the top.
Serving Size: Makes approx. 16 slices
