Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    3 cups dry pinto beans (can use others if you want just check the calories)
    6 cups hot water
    1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon minced garlic or 4 cloves minced
    2 C. chopped onions
    2 whole bay leaves
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1 tablespoon world harbor worcestershire sauce
    1 tablespoon Mrs. dash chipolite seasoning
    4 packs herb ox sodium free instant bouillon beef or chicken
    1 can diced no salt tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    1 teaspoon oregano

Directions

soak 3 cups of dry beans overnight covered with water-drain and rinse in morning-put crock pot on high add beans and 6 cups hot water. Add bay leaves, onion and garlic. Cook until beans are tender, remove bay leaves. Brown turkey. Add rest of ingredients and continue to cook until ready to eat or about 1 hour. If too hot for taste decrease the chili powder. Salt and pepper to your taste-this is very good recipe for those on low salt diets.
