-
- One slice of bread, whole wheat
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce (or tomato pasta sauce)
- 1 ounce mozzarella cheese (one string cheese stick)
- Assorted veggie toppings
- Italian seasoning
Directions
1.) Lightly toast slice of bread.
2.) Top with tomato sauce.
3.) Finely shred the mozzarella and sprinkle over tomato sauce.
4.) Top with toppings and Italian seasoning.
5.) Toast in a toaster oven for approximately 2 min. or until the cheese is melted and the underside of the pizza is golden brown.
***TIP*** It is helpful to heat your vegetables in a microwave for 30 seconds and strain off any extra juices before building your pizza. This prevents your pizza from getting soggy or from the bottom burning by being in the toaster too long!
