Introduction

I adapted this recipe from ANNACARABALLO 's "Great for You Oven Puffed Pancake" recipe

I was thinking that a half cup of oats could be added to make it more whole grain- friendly!

I was thinking that a half cup of oats could be added to make it more whole grain- friendly!

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1/2 cup wheat flour
    1/2 cup fat-free milk
    2 tablespoons Splenda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 large egg white (1/2 cup)
    1 medium apple--chopped into bite size pieces
    Cooking Spray

Directions

Pre-Heat oven to 425

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.

Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat.

Pour the batter in the hot pan and allow to cook 1 minute

Take directly from stove to oven and bake for 18-20 minutes

Cut into 4 pieces and serve with smart balance or light syrup for a savory flavor!

Serving Size: Makes 4 pieces
