Ingredients

    Meat sauce:
    Mushrooms, fresh, 1 cup slices
sweet raw onion, 1 cup, chopped
hunts garlic and herb, 1 cup
9 % fat ground beef cooked and rinsed
    homemade marinara 1 (1/4 C serving), 24 servings
Whole Wheat Lasagna - 1 box
    Barilla Lasagna Noodles .5 serving
fat free cottage cheese kroger, 4 cups
cheese - ricotta, low fat precious brand, 1.75 cup
Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 14 oz

Directions

in a large sauce pan, combine the ground beef, onion, Italian seasoning. Add mushrooms and stir in. Add tomato sauce and marinara and stir.
In a large bowl combine the cottage cheese, ricotta cheese and parsley and basil to taste. Stir well and set aside.
spray a large 9x13 pan. Pour 1 cup of sauce in bottom, spread around. Layer the lasagna noodles. Then lay a thick layer of cheese sauce, sprinkling mozzarella on top. Next layer of noodles, meat sauce, noodles, cheese sauce, etc, ending with the meat sauce on top. (I always seem to have more cheese than I need. You can either cook it separate or spread it under that last of the meat, it's counted in the calories), Sprinkling the last of the mozzarella on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 55 minutes. Take foil off and cook an additional 10 minutes for the cheese to melt and turn golden. Remove from oven and let sit for about 10 minutes before cutting.
serve with salad and garlic bread for a filling meal!
