Introduction

Great low-carb veggie-heavy sauce. We like to eat a big scoop of this with some ricotta cheese and meat of your choice stirred in - kind of like pizza in a bowl! Great low-carb veggie-heavy sauce. We like to eat a big scoop of this with some ricotta cheese and meat of your choice stirred in - kind of like pizza in a bowl!

Ingredients

    2 Jars of Ragu Chunky Garden Combination Sauce
    1 medium to large onion, chopped
    1-2 green bell peppers, chopped
    3 small cans of Mario Chopped Black Olives
    2 12oz cans of Contadina Tomato Paste
    1 10oz bag of frozen chopped spinach
    1 cup finely grated carrots
    4 medium tomatoes, chopped
    various spices (we prefer ground black pepper, basil, oregano, and thyme)

Directions

Add all ingredients to a large sauce pan. Stir together thoroughly. Heat through, then bring to a low boil over medium heat, stiring often. Boil for approximately 20 minutes, then simmer over low heat for another 20 minutes.

Serving Size: Makes around 12 generous servings, a little over 1 cup each
