Ingredients

Butter, unsalted, 1 cup room temperature
    Granulated Sugar, 1 cup
Egg, fresh, 4 large room temperature
    Baking Powder, 1 tablespoon
    Vanilla Extract, 1.5 tsp
    *Flour, white, 4 cups

Directions

Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Beat three eggs until light and add to butter mixture. Beat thoroughly. Add vanilla to mixture. Sift flour and baking powder together. Carefully blend flour to butter-egg mixture. The dough should be soft but not stick to your hands. You might need to add extra flour to prevent sticking. Shape cookies to desired shapes (s, twists, spirals...) by using a small size of dough roughly the size of a medium meatball. Brush tops of cookies with mixture of 1 braten egg and 1 tablespoon of water. Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees rotating the cookie tray once at 10 minutes. Cookie does not need to be greased.
