Ingredients

    1.5 T canola oil
    .5 med onion diced
    2 - 3 cloves of garlic minced
    4 cans cooked fava beans
    2 cans chickpeas
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup water
    1.5 T cumin powder
    1 T chopped fresh cilantro
    2 T dried mint
    2 T chopped fresh parsley
    juice of 1.5 lemons
    1.5 T olive oil

Directions

sautee onions in canola oil
add fava beans and chickpeas
add garlic and salt
add water
add cumin
bring to simmering boil
add herbs
stir in olive oil and lemon juice, serve warm
